Buttocks Lifting

The buttocks (gluteal) region could be lifted through a surgery that consists of the circular excision of tegument “strip” of the hips region. How is the healing period and how long it takes?

During the immediate healing period which last for not more than 2 weeks, the surged area must stay banded until extraction of the suture material. It is also very important to wear the elastic garment for not less than 2 months after the surgery.

How does the post surgical scar evolve?

Immediately after the surgery the patient will find that the scar is red, sometimes it could bleed and becomes covered by crusts. These will fall naturally when the tissue under them is sufficiently well formed. Following the fall of all crusts it is the right time to start using anti scarring products that your doctor prescribed to you.

Is the result permanent?

The results could be kept for a long period of time if no massive weight increases are recorded and if the care instructions are complied with.

Which are the contraindications of the practice?

Considering that this procedure takes long time general anesthesia is required. Serious cardiopulmonary diseases that carry an anesthetic risk represent a contraindication to this surgery.

Serious dermatological diseases, contagious, cachexia and sugar diabetes are also contraindications to such surgical procedure.

Which are the risks of the surgery?

Immediately after the surgery there are infection risks, wound dehiscence, massive bleeding, significant inflammation risks, etc. Remote risks include pathological scarring and local irregularities
