Adipolysis
Adipolysis (lipolysis) is a non-surgical practice for reduction of fat layers located under the skin. All the areas of the body could be accesses, from the periorbital area up to the abdomen, thighs, buttocks.
The most remarkable results are obtained with the "goiter", or with the "packs under the eyes", for the waist and internal side of the knee. More than one adipolysis agent is used in combination with other helping agents (vasodilator, absorption, hydration, etc.). The frequently used product is called "phosphatydilcolin" (lecithin), which is usually obtained from soybean extract.
Adipolysis is not a practice to loose weight! This practice is very useful for body remodeling in limited areas, which cannot be reduced through diet and physical exercises. Immediately after the injection the treated area becomes red, inflates, local temperature increase and a soft pain sensation appears; all signs of local inflammation occur gradually. These local expressions last for 3 to 4 days, period after which they reduce step by step and finally disappear. Some bruises might also appear which will vanish within approximately one week.
Longer the presence of local inflammation signs better will be the results of adipolysis.
Local inflammation is the external expression of the lyses (destruction) of fat deposits. If we administer an anti inflammatory treatment immediately after the injection this will countervail the adipolysis process and the results will be much more reduced.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the adipolysis session take?
Usually not more than 4 to 6 phials of phosphatidilcolin are injected, and thus a session takes in average 30 minutes.
Is the treatment painful?
Very fine needles are used to perceive minimum pricks well supported even by the most sensitive patients.
What happens right after the treatment?
The injected area becomes red, worm and a little painful upon touch, these changes maintaining for few hours up to few days, based on the genetic material of each one of us. In this period it is not recommended to administer anti inflammatory medication due to these days; it might annihilate the impact of the adipolytic agent.
When do the first results become visible?
The first results are quantifiable following a period between 5 and 8 weeks. The treatment could be repeated only after 8 weeks.
Which are the contraindications to this treatment?
The only contraindication that might occur is serious coagulation disturbance or serious skin diseases. Hypercholesteremia or serious cardiovascular or vessels diseases are relative contraindications.
