How does the laser therapy act on the blood vessels?

Laser technology issues light energy pulses which achieve the coagulation of the blood in the failed vessels,that subsequently will be absorbed by your body.

Non-invasive laser technology could treat efficiently fine wrinkles, increased pores, unequal skin texture, diffuse erythema and sun injuries. You could notice soft improvements but consistent after each treatment, without unwanted side effects like lividity or excessive skin irritation.

The treatments could be performed in a relaxing and comfortable manner, without using local anesthetics or gel. Diffuse redness is the general face redness. This issue is caused by the expanded capillaries, which generated the general impression of prevalent redness, with visible blood vessels. The most frequently affected areas are the nose, the forehead and the cheeks.

How many sessions are required?

In general, you don't need any gel, anesthetic cream or ice before the treatment. Before the laser treatment you'll have to remove any sign of make-up or hydrating cream and, in some cases, to erase the area to be treated. Your doctor will monitor all these preparations.

Is the treatment painful?


Most of the patients feel a soft bite sensation while the pulse is send through the manual piece. Although local anesthesia or sedative administration is not needed, some patients choose for a local anesthetic before treatment. Following the treatment the pain is almost non-existent.

What happens after the treatment?


After the treatment the skin could get livid or red. When treating bigger vein, a darken color of the treated area might persist for few weeks or months after the treatment. Patients who are treated the legs veins could be recommended to wear some special pants for a short while.

Which are the potential side effects?


Most of the patients show very few or no side effect. The most frequent are soft skin redness and local inflammation. Usually side effects last for maximum 24 hours. Some patients show bruises and, extremely rare, cysts. Contact the doctor for full information regarding the benefits and the risks of this treatment.

Are there any activity restrictions as a result of the treatment?


In general, patients may resume normal activity immediately. However, it is recommended to avoid physical effort for 24 hours after the treatment. It is also recommended to use sun-proof creams on the treated body areas when expose to sun. In any case, it is recommended a limited sun exposure.
